Spanish footballer Alvaro Morata currently plays as a striker for the English Premier League club Chelsea besides appearing regularly for the Spanish national team. He started his senior football career with Real Madrid in late 2010 and appeared in 52 games. He then moved to Serie A club Juventus in 2014 for a transfer fee of €20 million. Morata achieved Serie A and Coppa Italia twice each with Juventus and became a permanent member of the first squad. He then bought back by Real Madrid in 2016. He started his footballing journey with Atlético Madrid in 2005 at the age of just 13. Morata then joined the youth academy of Getafe CF in 2007. Shortly after, he joined the youth academy system of Real Madrid in 2008. He then earned his promotion through several age groups and made his debut for the Real Madrid C Squad in 2009. Morata played for the Real Madrid ‘Juvenile A’ team after that and achieved two youth titles with the squad. He earned his promotion to Real Madrid Castilla in July 2010 and attracted the attention of one of the greatest football managers José Mourinho. Morata then made his debut for Castilla against AD Alcorcón on 15th August 2010 followed by his Segunda División B debut against Coruxo FC on 29th August 2010.

Real Madrid brought back Morata on 21st June 2016, for a transfer fee of €30 million with the help of their buy-back clause in the Juventas transfer contract. He then made his second debut for the club in a UEFA Super Cup match against Sevilla on 9th August 2016, replacing Benzema on 62nd minute of the game. He scored his first goal in his second stint with Real Madrid against Celta de Vigo on 27th August 2016. During the season 2016-17, Morata made nine appearances for Madrid in the UEFA Champions League while scoring three goals.
