Barcelona hopeful about Coutinho transfer
It is not surprising that Liverpool has resisted all offers from Barcelona to take away their star player from Brazil during the summer window, and now, Barca is putting up a massive fight in the upcoming transfer window. There are strong speculations that if the Camp Nou team manages to make an offer over £130million, they might be able to seal the deal, and get Coutinho. Barca, which is currently at the top of the La Liga table, had made three bids for their summer transfer, worth a total of £114m including add-ons. But, to get Coutinho onboard, Barcelona will have to up their offer and lure the man to have a dream transfer. Liverpool is aware of the Brazilian’s previous intentions to move to Barca in summer.
The doubts were increased even further when Nike, the sponsor of Barcelona’s kit, put up advertisements of shirts with Coutinho’s name on them, and the advertisements unintentionally announced the player’s arrival at Barcelona, before they removed the advert which said mentioned that Coutinho is ass set to light up Barca’s home ground, Camp Nou, with the declaration that the Barcelona kit with the player’s name is available, with free personalization from January 6.
Since nothing has been officially declared in this regard, Liverpool is planning to demand a huge sum of money from Barcelona for the blunder made by the Spanish team’s kit sponsors. However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp still dismissed the notion while speaking to the media.
