In the last season, Arsenal finished their Premier League run as the fifth team on the table, and according to Cech, the Gunners are once again in danger. They might have to settle once again for the action of Europa League, since they are in the sixth place this time, missing the top four by five points. Arsenal has managed to win just one among the four of their last league matches, though, in the last week, the team managed to beat Chelsea with a score of 2-1, in order to secure a place in the EFL Cup final match against Manchester City.

Cech has asked his team to be more focused on fighting for the position among the top four. Before the team’s trip to Swansea City, Cech said that as a club, Arsenal belongs to the Champions League run, and that they cannot afford to spend years outside the UCL spots. He added that regardless of the fact that the fight for the top four becomes more and more difficult due to the competitiveness of the league, the Gunners have had many games this season, in which they were not able to perform well, when they should have been far ahead in terms of the points.

Cech’s next appearance will be his 200th game in the English Premier League. The keeper believes that he is not close to the close of his soccer career. He said that as a goalkeeper, he feels a little lonely, but his position on the field is special, and he loves it.
