Chelsea has shown interest in Dzeko though it has not progressed much, and the team is likely to make an attempt in finding someone to help, after the suspension of Alvaro Morata for the upcoming journey to Brighton. The suspension of Morata means that Michy Batshuayi, the player who could get transferred in a different direction than Dzeko, and will likely start against Brighton.

Since Roma will be facing Inter Milan, it seems that the discussions regarding transfers have been have been paused for the time being. The champions of the English Premier League had hoped that they would be able to sign Andy Carroll. However, the centre-forward had an ankle injury, which forced the team to look for other players. There might be a possibility of the reigniting of Chelsea’s interest in case the 29 years old recovers from his injury soon.

Dzeko won’t be able to participate in the UEFA Champions League. However, he might represent Chelsea in the English Premier League as well as in other cup competitions. After an inquiry regarding his possible availability, Chelsea will be n further conversation about Dzeko soon, though they will carry on looking at other options, too.
