David Luiz Early Years and Vitória Career

After being part of São Paulo’s youth program from 1999 to 2001, David Luiz joined Vitória. He started in the youth system from 2001 to 2005. Then, he went on to the first team in 2006. Though he started in the role of defensive midfielder, he soon shifted to central defender. From a series of poor performances, he went on to show some great displays.
