English midfielder Bamidele Jermaine Alli aka Dele Alli plays for the Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur besides representing the England football team in the international tournaments. He started his football journey with the youth system of Milton Keynes Dons at the age of just 11, and inducted in the starting squad of first team around five years later. He signed for the Spurs for a transfer fee worth £5 million in February 2015, but instantly loaned back to Milton Keynes Dons to spend the rest of that football season at his boyhood club.

Dele Alli joined the Milton Keynes Dons youth system at the age of just 11 and made his debut for the club’s first team on 2nd November 2012 as a sixteen-year-old football talent. He came on ground as a substitute of Jay O’Shea in his debut FA Cup first round match against the Southern Football League club Cambridge City at Milton Road. His first professional goal also came against Cambridge City at Stadium MK on 13th November 2012. Alli made his league debut against Coventry City on 29th December 2012 at the home ground of Milton Keynes Dons.

Alli was inducted in the first team of Milton Keynes Dons from season 2013-14 and scored his debut league goal for the club against Shrewsbury Town. He scored his first league goal on 28th September 2013 against Stevenage. Alli’s amazing performance established himself as a first choice player in 2014. He scored his first professional hat-trick on 11th March 2014 against Notts County at Meadow Lane at the age of just 17 years and 11 months. Alli then became the club’s first choice midfielder in June 2014 after the departure of Gleeson to Birmingham City. Alli signed a five-and-a-half-year contract worth of £5 million with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur on 2nd February 2015. He made his Premier League debut for the club against Manchester United on 8th August 2015 at Old Trafford. Alli then scored his first goal for the club two weeks later against Leicester City. He made his first start for the Spurs against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 13th September 2015. After Alli scored five goals and made three assists in his first 18 league matches, Tottenham Hotspur signed a contract extension till 2021 on 12th January 2016. For his amazing performance, Dele Alli was named as the PFA Young Player of the Year 2015.

Alli changed his kit name to Dele Alli before the start of season 2016-17 while stating he has no connection with his legal surname after his separation from his mother.  He scored the first goal of the season against Stoke City on 10th September 2016. Alli made his UEFA Champions League debut on 14th August against AS Monaco at Wembley Stadium and scored his first UCL goal against CSKA Moscow on 7th December 2016. He was named Premier League Player of the Month for January 2017 after he scored eight goals in six league matches between 18th December 2016 and 21st January 2017. After making several appearances for the English U17 and U18 team, Dele Alli was called for the England U19 team on 27th August 2014 and made his debut against the German U19 side. Alli was born to Yoruba Nigerian father Kenny and English mother Denise in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Initially he was brought up by his mother. His mother had serious alcohol problems and for that Alli moved into the family house of Alan and Sally Hickford at the age of 13. He referred them as his adoptive parents who are also the parents of Alli’s MK Don team mate, although the Hickford family never legally adopted him. He completed his schooling from Stantonbury Campus and The Radcliffe School in Wolverton. Alli was an avid Liverpool fan, and Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard was his childhood idols.
