Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, famously known as just Deportivo, was founded in 1906 and is one of the most successful team of the Spanish football. They have won the Segunda División 5 times, Supercopa de España 3 times, Copa del Rey 2 times and also the La Liga once in 1999-00 season. In international football platform, Deportivo won the UEFA Intertoto once in 2008 and became the runners-up in 2005. The club had seen a great progression in their performance as they finished in the top half of the La Liga in 16 out of 19 seasons since 1992.
Followed by some player’s unrest and the sack of their manager Gaizka Garitano, they finished at the 16th spot of the La Liga table last year. But under the guidance of their new manager Pepe Mel, Deportivo is expected to achieve a decent spot in the League table this year.

Deportivo started quite well against Betis in this La Liga game but sadly conceded the first goal from Betis’s Joaquín in the 14th minute. Shortly after, Federico Cartabia scored the equalizer for Deportivo with a marvelous strike in the 23rd minute. In the second half, Joaquín scored the winning goal for Betis with a brilliant shot in the 76th minute. The match ended in favor of Betis with 2-1 score.

Deportivo looked quite confident in this La Liga game against Alaves and Luisinho scored a brilliant goal in the extra time of the first half. Alaves, on the other hand, tried their best to score in the second half but failed to score any. Alejandro Arribas then scored an own goal in the 22nd minute which got them into more pressure. Celso Borges scored a marvelous goal after that for Deportivo in the 53rd minute. Gerard Moreno scored two back-to-back goals for Espanyol one in 72nd minute and then in the 90th minute.

Deportivo, however, managed to get two goals scored by Lucas Pérez in the 66th min, and Florin Andone in the 87th min.
