One of the grandest tournaments of this year will be participated by 32 teams of 5 confederations, out of which 20 nations appeared in the previous instalment of this tournament in 2014. 64 total matches will be played in 12 spectacular stadiums across 11 cities of Russia. The opening ceremony along with the opening match of the host team will be played on 14th June 2018. The 2018 FIFA World Cup Final will be played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on 15th July. 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Schedule and Timings
Several great football playing nations did not qualify for this year’s FIFA World Cup 2018 schedule, where several new teams will showcase their talents this year. After 28 years of absence from this grand ceremony, Egypt will participate this year. Same goes for Morocco as they will participate again after the 1998 instalment. Peru will return to the FIFA World Cup after 36 years, and Senegal will be competing after their appearance in 2002. Tragically, the four-time World Cup champions Italy failed to qualify for this year’s tournament for the first time since 1958. Same goes for three-time runner-up Netherlands who also failed to qualify for the main event. Several great teams such as the United States, New Zealand and Cameroon will be absent this year. Two African teams known for their fights against big teams on the ground, Ghana and Ivory Coast, will also miss this year.
