Spanish footballer Iago Aspas currently plays as a striker for the La Liga squad Celta de Vigo besides his regular participation for the Spanish national football team. Aspas grew up in Moaña while being a Celta de Vigo fan since his childhood. And after a short stint with native side CD Moaña, he tried out for the youth academy system of Celta with no football boots. With immense talent, he got selected in his very first attempts. He joined the youth academy at the age of just eight in 1995. He started rigorous football training at the academy and quickly escalated through several age-groups. Aspas spent a season on loan to Rápido de Bouzas from Celta in 2004. After his return, he showed his worthiness to play for the senior side of the club.
