In a nation where cricket is the ultimate love and cricketers are worshipped as gods, people are very much ‘OK’ following each and every of the trend set by the star cricketers. But even then the dog cruelty is on the rise. You all might be wondering how both the above-mentioned sentences are relevant to each other. You need to calm down as it isn’t a typo, the thing is that the star Indian Cricketers like Sachin, Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit are themselves the dog lover and have also been spread the word to treat them rightly. But the irony is cricket-lover nation seems no interested in following their stars in this regard.

Around everybody knows animal cruelty act in India is prevalent but still, then the cruelty with dogs and other animals is no hide to anybody out there. There might be many reasons behind this failing, but we aren’t here to discuss any of it.

What we all wanted to do here is spread the word that around every of the Indian cricketer owns a pet dog and also urges every of his fan to treat them in the best possible way. It will be pertinent to mention here that in January this year, Blue Shirts star cricketers like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, and Ajinkya Rahane signed People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s new petition which asked the government to strengthen animal-protection laws.

Similarly, in March this year, captain Kohli through a video message on social media urged people to not throw any colors or make any harm to the animals during the prestigious event of Holi.

Recently on World Animal Day, the star Indian opener, Rohit Sharma also came up with the strong message about treating animals in an apt way. Moreover, he also posted a photo with his pet dog and captioned it, “Decided to surprise my best buddy.”
