English footballer Michael Keane currently plays as a defender for the England national football team besides his regular participation in the English Premier League club Everton. As a surprising fact, he is among the very few players who represented two nations in international circuits. Keane started his footballing journey while playing for South Manchester in Cheadle. He then joined the Manchester United youth academy system at the age of just sixteen in 2009. He made a great progress through several age levels at the academy and finally got his chance to play for the senior team. Keane signed his first professional football contract with Manchester United on his 18th Birthday on 11th January 2011.

Keane made his debut for the Manchester United first team in a League Cup match against Aldershot Town on 25th October 2011. He made his debut as a 70th-minute substitute for Zeki Fryers in the match. Keane was then named for the FA Cup match against Liverpool on 28th January 2012 but remained as an unused substitute. He started for the club’s first team for the first time in a League Cup match against Newcastle United on 26th September 2012. Keane joined the EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers on loan on 7th March 2014. He was chosen by Rovers to play at the Ewood Park for the remainder of the 2013–14 football season and was handed the number-16 jersey. He made his debut for Rovers in a home match against their local rival Burnley on 9th March 2014. Keane returned to Old Trafford after the completion of his loan term with Blackburn, and was included in the squad for the last match of the season against Hull City. Michael Keane Burnley Career

Keane joined the Championship club Burnley on loan on 2nd September 2014 until January 2015. He made his debut for the club against his former squad Leicester City on 4th October 2014. Keane then signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Burnley for an undisclosed fee on 8th January 2015. He scored twice in the very first month with the club and scored 5 goals in total that season. Keane scored his last goal of the 2014-15 season against Middlesbrough on 19th April 2015. He scored his first Premier League goal for Burnley against Watford on 26 September 2016.
