Paulinho Early career

Paulinho’s career started with Pão de Açúcar, as he joined the youth squad in the year 2004. He broke through the first team, and then joined FC Vilnius in the year 2006. His displays were appreciated at Lithuania, as he made five goals from 38 games at domestic level. But by the time 2007 neared its end, he left the team because of the club’s relegation, and he joined ŁKS Łódź after moving to Poland, where he spent one season and appeared in 17 league games. He again joined Pão de Açúcar in summer 2008, where he had a successful season, before joining Bragantino of Série B in 2009.

In 2009, when Paulinho was still with Bragantino, he attracted the attention of the Corinthians, who decided to sign the player. He made his first goal of the league for Corinthians in May 2010, in a 4–2 win over Santos. In July 2013, One of the EPL Champions Tottenham Hotspur signed Paulinho and his fee was reported as less than 17 million EUR. He debuted in Premier League for the new team in August 2013 in a game opposite Crystal Palace, and was named the Man of the Match in the 1-0 win. In August, he made his first goal for Tottenham in the qualification round of Europa League against Dinamo Tbilisi, in a 5–0 win. Paulinho Barcelona Career

In August 2017, Barcelona came to an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande to buy Paulinho for 40 million EUR, after many failed bids by the Spanish team. In August 2017, he debuted for Barcelona in a 2–0 victory over Alavés. In September 2017, he made the first goal for his new team in a 2–1 victory over Getafe. In October, Paulinho led his team to a 2–0 win over Athletic Bilbao. He was consistent with his displays, and he soon became a starter. His season came to an end with a brace, collected against Deportivo de La Coruña. In the team’s first match in 2018, which was against Levante, he scored a goal and led the team to end the game with a score of 3–0.
