Real Madrid beats Manchester United to two players in the transfer window

Recent reports by Don Balon suggest that Real Madrid authorities have beaten one of the English Premier League champions Manchester United to two players’ presence on their team. Reportedly, Real Madrid has closed the deals with Eden Hazard, the Chelsea forward, and Harry Kane, the Tottenham striker, both of whom had been eyed by Manchester United for the next season.  And the Spanish team’s supporters are now quite happy that Real Madrid beats Manchester United to two players.

Hazard has recently been linked with Manchester United in recent reports by The Sun, before claims regarding the Belgian international being chased by Real Madrid started doing the rounds. Allegedly, this deal is worth £120 million. The Sun had earlier reported about MUFC’s interest in the Spurs skipper Kane, but this was recently contradicted by Don Balon’s claim that the England international’s asking price of £177 m might be a little high for Real, even though they are interested in him.

However, new developments suggest that Florentino Perez has struck deals to bring n both the players and has possibly spent a combined amount of £297 m for them, if the fees mentioned previously tun out to be right. While rival team Barcelona is splurging on Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool for the transfer in January, It is no big surprise that Madrid wants to use their financial power, or are at least telling the media that the club is all set to do so.

If the sign in Hazard and Kane, it will be a huge statement of intent by the team, besides being a much necessary, wise decision to help in strengthening the weak areas of the team which have so far pushed Real to the 4th position on the La Liga table. Perhaps, the new players will be able to provide the right support to Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale, playing alongside them, and eventually fill in their boots. Hazard and Kane both put up great displays in the Premier League season so far, and if they join Real Madrid, they will make superb additions to the team. Their joining Real Madrid will bring a huge blow on Manchester United.  But, it does not appear likely that the English team will be able to persuade their two rival teams to sell such important players to them, even at exorbitantly high prices.
