Willian Borges da Silva, commonly known by the name Willian, represents the national football team of Brazil. Besides, he plays for Chelsea, in the English Premier League. As a talented player, he performs the role of a winger as well as an attacking midfielder.

Willian’s career began with Corinthians. After that, in August 2007, he joined Shakhtar, who paid a fee of 14 million EUR. Then, he went on to stay associated with the team for 6 years; and, during this time, he helped his team earn Ukrainian Premier League five times!! As part of their youth program, Willian stayed associated with Corinthians from 1998. Then, in the year 2007, he began playing for their first team. Eventually, he appeared in five league games in his first season; this helped the team get a position in the middle of the table. Next, in the following season with Corinthians, he played in 11 league matches, in which he scored twice. This led the team to gain the 17th place on Série A table, and they had to face relegation.

In August 2007, Wilian joined Shakhtar Donetsk by signing a contract of five years; for the transfer, the club paid 14 million EUR. Willian debuted for the club in a 2–1 league win against Chornomorets Odesa in September. Then, he scored the first goal for Shakhtar in October against Arsenal Kyiv in a 4–1 win in Ukrainian Cup. In August 2013, Chelsea signed Chelsea in a deal that cost the team £30 million. The transfer was dependent on his work permit hearing, and the deal became official on the same day as his hearing. He was born in Ribeirão Pires, in the state of São Paulo in Brazil, to father Severino da Silva and Maria da Silva. He is married to Vanessa Martins, and the couple has twin daughters, Manuella and Valentina. In October 2016, his mother passed away, when she was 57.
