Real Madrid had a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo in an away match, and thus got pushed to the 4th place with gap of 16 points with their top rival Barca who are sitting at the top of the list. They have 32 points at the moment, followed closely by Sevilla with 29 points, overcoming the gap of 3 points. This means that Real Madrid is currently in danger of getting overtaken by Sevilla and be pushed to the fifth position any time.
Needless to say, Zidane is under a lot of pressure, since team Real Madrid is still struggling to defend their title. In fact, he has openly asked to put a stop to the discussion about his team getting the title, because truth be told, Barcelona is quite far ahead in the race. Barcelona, under the efficient management of their boss and one of the best managers of current days Ernesto Valverde has 48 points, and is at no real risk of getting over taken by Atletico who are in the second place with 39 points.
Zidane has simply said that they do not want to talk about La Liga, and has refused to talk about La Liga every week, because they have been steadily losing points on a weekly basis, and he knows that they cannot reduce the gap. So, they are currently looking at one match at a time. He also mentioned that his players were upset after drawing with Celta Vigo, and mentioned that it s justified for the team to be angry.
