We hardly get to see a swap deal these days in football, where two clubs exchange players. But, if rumours are to be believed, then the two English Premier League teams, Manchester United and Arsenal, are in the process of completing a pretty big one, during the current transfer window, with Alexis Sanchez coming close to getting transferred to MUFC, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan being allegedly ostracised by Jose Mourinho, the manager of the team, and agreeing to take Sanchez’s place in Arsenal. Meanwhile, another name that has hit the headlines from the greenroom of Manchester United board is of Paul Pogba.

None of the players, Sanchez or Mkhi, were on the field representing their respective teams in the recent matches – Arsenal vs Crystal Palace and Manchester United vs Burnley. Paul Pogba, for MUFC, showed great ability to maintain possession of the ball even under pressure, which turned out to be vital for the team. The French player put a memorable display again at Turf Moor. And now, he has made a demand that he sees fit, considering the performances he gives.

Pogba is all set to make a big demand, following the discussions of the arrival of Sanchez, and his demand is sending waves of shock around the MUFC boardroom. According to the recent reports by The Mirror, Pogba is going to put forward a demand to double his current salary, after Sanchez joins Old Trafford as a result of an enormous transfer. After Pogba’s return from Juventus back in 2016, he signed a deal that assured a salary of £167,000 per week, and the amount was pushed to £200,000 a week when MUFC successfully qualified for UEFA Champions League.

So, Pogba’s current demand is to double the salary to ensure a salary of £400,000 per week, to match the salary of new recruit Sanchez who is the leading scorer of his team, Chile. Mino Raiola, the agent of Pogba, currently holds the power and is ready to inform United that the salary of £200,000 per week is not going to be sufficient for the player any more, considering his client’s amazing form.
