Olympiakos 1-1 Xanthi FC [09.09.2017 – Champions League]

Olympiakos started quite aggressively in the Champions League qualifying match against Xanthi FC and Björn Engels scored the first goal for his club in the 12th minute of the match. Xanthi FC got their equalizer from a brilliant strike by Christos Lisgaras in the 43rd minute. Both the team failed to score any goal in the second half thus ending the match as 1-1 draw.

Seydou Doumbia scored the first goal for Sporting CP in the 2nd minute right after the starting whistle. Gelson Martins scored another goal for Sporting in the 13th minute followed by the amazing score of Bruno Fernandes in the 43rd minute. The first equalizer for Olympiakos came from Felipe Pardo in the 89th minute and he scored again in the extra time of the second half thus resulting the match as 2-3 win for Sporting CP.
