Tennis players primed for success in 2021

Posted By: |

Tennis is a sport with millions of fans all around the world. And as we enter another season, things do seem a little different, as there are many younger players coming through to trouble the greats of our time. With some major tournaments currently underway, we are seeing quite a bit of activity in the online betting platforms too, with punters rushing to take advantage of offers with promo codes. On that note, you can find the PA Lottery sign up bonus here if this is something you have an interest in.

With this said, we want to shed some light on some of the most exciting young players that are ripe for success this year. We truly can’t wait to watch them play throughout this season, and you can find all the details below.

Watch out for these players!

  1. Daniil Medvedev

This wild Russian is a bit like Marmite – you either love him or you hate him. But regardless of your views on the guy, it’s impossible to deny that he is one of the most exciting talents on the tour right now. At just 24 years of age, Medvedev is ranked number 4 in the world, meaning he is literally biting at the ankles of guys like Djokovic and Nadal. Despite his ranking, Medvedev has not managed to win a Grand Slam title yet, although he has managed to win the end of year masters last year with a tense victory over Dominic Thiem.

He has quite an interesting style of play too, along with the fact that he seems to lose his marbles several times throughout certain matches. This makes him pretty exciting to watch, and we have a feeling that he could snatch a Slam this year!

  1. Iga Swiatek

Swiatek is definitely one of the players to watch on the WTA Tour this year. Despite still being a teenager, Swiatek already has a Grand Slam title under her belt, as she managed to win the French Open title just last year. Although people were already aware of her potential, this tournament truly cemented Swiatek as one of the best in the world. She absolutely destroyed some of the very best in this event, with her amazing power and sheer heart to pull through and win games. And as we now enter the 2021 season, Swiatek is a player that could do some serious damage in the major’s.

The first real test for this young player is the Australian Open, currently underway over in Melbourne. Assuming she can put in a good performance at this event, we believe she will carry this confidence through and win some huge titles this season.

  1. Stefanos Tsitsipas

Last but not least, we have to include the fiery Greek in our list of players that could hit the big time this year. Tsitsipas is just 22 years old right now, but even with his relative youth compared to some of the other top players in the world, he has already managed to grab some sensational wins on tour. He has a very easy style of play, with a powerful one-handed backhand that can cause even the most experienced players a whole range of problems. And just like Medvedev mentioned before, Tsitsipas has been there or thereabouts in Grand Slam events, but he has yet to lift the trophy at any of them.

While he’s come close in some of them, most notably, reaching the semi-final of the French Open last year, we feel that he now has the experience necessary to go a step further in 2021.
